Chaos Control (カオスコントロール) is a first-person rail shooter developed by Infogrames originally released for the CD-i before being ported to the Sega Saturn (and other platforms) in 1995.

Plans had been in place to bring Chaos Control to the Sega Mega-CD, though no such version ever materialised.

    History

Chaos Control was developed in-house at Infogrames, with graphics rendered on Silicon Graphics workstations[6]. Infogrames' Frank Drevon created the design work and 3D models, while rendering was outsourced to Little Big One, taking 2-4 months to render across two SGI machines[7].

    Versions

Chaos Control has seen three separate releases on the Saturn. Its original Japanese incarnation, Chaos Control was released in December 1995 to mixed views from critics. When brought to Europe in 1996, many of the underlying issues were addressed, leading to faster load times, improved graphics and cutscenes, and support for the Virtua Gun. It was then re-released in Japan as Chaos Control Remix in November of that year. No versions of the game were ever released in North America.
