Monaco Grand Prix is a formula one racing game by Ubisoft, released for the Sega Dreamcast as a launch title for the console in the US and Europe, though can also be found on other consoles.
It is a sequel to the 1997 PC game F1 Racing Simulation (later known as Racing Simulation 1), however lacks the FIA license of its predecessor. Instead, the game is licensed by the Automobile Club de Monaco, meaning only the Monaco Grand Prix is officially licensed. As a result, in Japan and mainland Europe it is known as Monaco Grand Prix: Racing Simulation 2, save for the United Kingdom, which knows the game as Racing Simulation: Monaco Grand Prix, and Germany, which knows it as Racing Simulation 2. In the Americas, it is merely Monaco Grand Prix.
None of these names should be confused with Monaco GP, a much earlier arcade game developed by Sega which went on to have several sequels.
