- 1996 - Part 1 of the Sonic the Hedgehog OVA, a VHS, is made available to rent alongside Baku Baku Animal for the Sega Game Gear, and Dero~n Dero Dero, Guardian Heroes, Street Fighter Zero, Virtua Fighter CG Portrait Series Vol. 7 Shun Di, and Virtua Fighter CG Portrait Series Vol. 8 Lion Rafale for the Sega Saturn in Japan.
