Sega Reunion 2022 was a reunion of former and current Sega of America staff that took place on September 9, 2022.[1]

Event

Last week, Tom K. reached out and asked me to join him and over 120+ former SEGA alumni at a weekend reunion in San Francisco. I dropped everything, jumped on a plane and then spent an incredible day with them hearing their amazing stories and then updated them on all the exciting things happening for Sonic currently. It was a day I will never forget, full of mutual respect for the efforts and accomplishments of past and present SEGA teams, and much love for both SEGA & Sonic. I look forward to continuing to share exciting Sonic news with the original 90’s SEGA crew, and all employees who were at SEGA during the last 30 years as our efforts to grow the Sonic brand continue to accelerate.

Sega Reunion 2022 was held at Redwood City's Grand Bay Hotel San Francisco, a venue located only a minute's walk from Sega of America's former Redwood Shores headquarters, and one the company had used before.[2] A number of former industry veterans were in attendance, such as Tom Kalinske, Shinobu Toyoda, Paul Rioux, Ellen Beth Van Buskirk Knapp, and Roger Hector, as was the entirety of the Sega Girls Task Force, Cindy Hardgrave, Cynthia Modders, Diane Fornasier, Madeline Schroeder, Michealene Cristini Risley, and Pamela Kelly. Current Sonic Studio staff were in attendance as well, with Ivo Gerscovich, Aaron Webber, and Katie Chrzanowski all making appearances.
