Time Commando (タイムコマンドー) is an action game ported to the Sega Saturn and released in Japan. It is heavily reliant on pre-rendered backgrounds and full motion video in combination with polygon characters.
While the game was created by Adeline Software International first on PC and then on PlayStation during 1996, the Sega Saturn conversion was tasked to Virtual Studio by the parent company of Adeline, Delphine Software International, not long after the release of the PlayStation version. After enduring a complicated process of more than one year to convert the game which almost resulted in its cancellation, the title was eventually released in early 1998 by the Japanese branch of Acclaim Entertainment, only in Japan and in a very rough and glitchy state [3].
