Zaxxon 3D (ザクソン 3D) is a shoot-'em-up developed and published by Sega for the Sega Master System. The game requires the use of the 3-D Glasses to create an illusion of depth.
Zaxxon 3D is a sequel to the arcade game Zaxxon. Unlike the original game, which was isometric, Zaxxon 3D is viewed from behind the player's ship, with the enemy ships approaching from the distance. This perspective makes effective use of the 3D effect, since it is easier to judge the distance of an enemy with depth perception.
