Arata Hanashima (花島 新) is a former programmer at Sega of Japan who started out working with the Mega Drive hardware, followed by the Model 2 and Model 3 arcade hardware. Several years after joining the company, their self-proclaimed first major work released: Fighting Vipers for the Sega Saturn.[1]
Since leaving Sega around the time Shenmue released, they he worked for various other developers, such as Genki, Konami, Atlus, etc.
