Street Fighter II is a revolutionary arcade game by Capcom. It was one of the first really successful one-on-one fighting games, and has seen numerous ports and re-releases since conception.
Though Street Fighter II bypassed the Sega Mega Drive in 1992, it did eventually wind up on Sega's earlier console, the Sega Master System in 1997. It was released exclusively in Brazil by Tectoy, as the Sega Master System was still a very popular machine in that region at that time. This port would add the ' found in the title of the Champion Edition to its title, however is not a port of Champion Edition.
Though severely watered down due to the weaker hardware of the SMS, this version of Street Fighter II is still a reasonably faithful rendition of the game. It also features the announcer's vocals which the Sega Mega Drive's Street Fighter II': Special Champion Edition lacked. However, the game is held back by a lack of moves (the Master System only has two buttons on its controller, as opposed to the six used in the arcade game) and character voice samples, and the framerate is low. The music has also been tweaked in places.
