GameWorks Auburn Hills was a GameWorks entertainment center opened by Sega GameWorks. It was located on 4362 Baldwin Rd, Auburn Hills, Michigan, in the Great Lakes Crossing Shopping Mall complex.
The venue's operation was taken over by Sega Entertainment USA in place of the dissolved GameWorks parent company in 2004. The venue closed on March 29, 2010 alongside several other GameWorks locations following reorganization at Sega.[1] The venue was rumored to have been converted into an ESPN Zone outlet, but never went into fruition. The vacant building spent a few years empty until being repurposed as a Halloween City pop-up store in 2013. In March 2014, it was announced that Merlin Entertainments' Sea-Life chain would take over the former space, and reopened as a Sea-Life Aquarium in January 2015.[2]
