Sega City Irvine was a Sega City amusement arcade opened by Sega. Located in Southern California's Irvine Spectrum Center outdoor shopping mall, it was the company's first Sega City venue[1], and was opened to the public on November 28, 1995.
After falling attendance and profits, Sega City Irvine was closed in March 1999, and spent a nine-month refurbishment, extention and refit to become GameWorks Irvine, which opened in November 1999.
