Scramble Spirits (スクランブルスピリッツ) is a 1988 shoot-'em-up developed by Sega Enterprises, Ltd. Though it never reached the success of shooters from Konami or Compile, having been developed for Sega System 24 hardware meant that at the time, the graphics were far more detailed than its rivals.
Scramble Spirits was ported to the Sega Master System a year after the arcade release. It was also brought to the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, MSX, and ZX Spectrum by Grandslam. All of these ports lack the sprite scaling, and the screen resolution is far smaller than the original arcade version. There was no North American Master System release, but one was seemingly planned for December 1989[8].

The game is a vertically scrolling shoot-'em-up. It can be played by one or two players simultaneously (with player one piloting an orange fighter and player two piloting a blue fighter). Players control air fighters and fight both air and ground enemies.
