Rome: Total War is a strategy game developed by The Creative Assembly and published by Activision for the Windows PC in 2004. Two expansion packs were published by SegaRome: Total War - Barbarian Invasion in 2005 and Rome: Total War - Alexander in 2006.

The Steam version was initially released as Rome: Total War - Gold, later renamed Rome: Total War - Collection, with an optional Alexander expansion as Rome: Total War - Complete.[2] Barbarian Invasion is included by default.
