Mariko Kawase (川瀬 茉莉子) is a game designer at Sega of Japan. She was a long-time contributor to the Yakuza series and part of Ryu ga Gotoku Studio. Around the time Sega Games, she left the series' developer CS1, moving to CS2 (aka Sonic Team) to work on the Mario & Sonic games, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 and Samba de Amigo: Party Central.
