Galaxy Fight, or Galaxy Fight: Universal Warriors (ギャラクシーファイト ユニバーサル・ウォリアーズ) in Japan, is a fighting game by Sunsoft. Originally for Neo Geo arcade hardware, it was ported to the Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation in 1995. The Saturn version is the only port of Galaxy Fight to be released in all three main regions of the world; Japan, North America and Europe.
Like many fighting games originally designed for the Neo Geo system, it makes heavy use of sprite scaling. It received a spiritual successor in Waku Waku 7, which was also released for Saturn.

Versions
Following its Neo Geo MVS (and AES) release, Galaxy Fight was brought to three CD-ROM-based platforms with arranged music; the Neo Geo CD, the PlayStation, and this Sega Saturn version.
The Saturn version of the game is a relatively faithful conversion of the original game but omits some frames of animation. It generally compares favourably to its PlayStation counterpart however; a lower quality port with noticeably distorted graphics in most scenes and which occasionally exhibits slowdown during gameplay.
Loading times are similar but manifest at different points of the game; the PlayStation version takes longer to load between matches, but gets to the character selection screen slightly faster than the Saturn. Both are nevertheless significantly faster than the Neo Geo CD - a console which is notorious for its slow disc access speeds. As is to be expected, in its original cartridge form Galaxy Fight had no loading screens (or menu systems, which also differ slightly between the home versions).
The Saturn version also offers a new "Special Command Mode" option, which appears to act more as a glorified manual, teaching players how to perform special moves.
