This should prob be its own article and get a MainArticle to it from here, but this scratch & win promotion looks interesting. See [https://archive.org/details/raspaeganha here] and its on a lot of boxes, like the PT release of ''[[Motocross Championship]]'' on the 32X. Mário Dorminsky (well known Portuguese journalist Founder of Oporto International Film Festival, and Co-Founder, CEO and Marketing Director at Ecofilmes (1990-1995)

Marketing Director

SEGA Portugal / Ecofilmes

1990 – 1995 5 anos (5 years)

"Sega's 32 bit console (Sega Saturn) may have lagged in third place all over the world, behind the Nintendo 64 and Sony Playstation , but in Portugal it was a major hit, thanks to Mario Dorminsky's killer marketing strategies (Dorminsky was head of Ecofilmes, Sega's official portuguese distributor, before moving on to dedicate himself entirely to his horror film festival, FantasPorto).

If you were a Portuguese kid during 96 or 97 chances were most of your friends had a Sega Saturn, and there was only one lonely guy who had a Playstation instead (who unfortunately could not trade games with any of his friends because no one else had one). If only Sega of America had recruited Dorminsky to plan and command the operations during the Dreamcast launch one can only wonder how the World of Videogames would be like today..."

Got more information on Sega in Portugal? I found only this https://www.publico.pt/2016/06/15/p3/cronica/o-que-era-a-sega-portugal-1826244 but I don't know much about it and it would be good to expand History of Sega in Portugal with some additional information.-Lukdriver14 (talk) 09:56, 30 April 2021 (EDT)
Yep... I know that article... it's the website of Portuguese newspaper Público ... Ivan Barroso is Lead Project Manager at "GameNest Lisbon" a game development experimental laboratory located in Lisbon... he also colaborates with "Público" and "Retroarquivo"... and the article says that he tried many times to contact former and current Ecofilmes staff in order to get some info about the history of Sega in Portugal with no avail... Ecofilmes just don't cares about it... in fact the only guy who was kind enough to share some info was Rui Tito of Portidata... we now know that Ecofilmes had only video rental shops as clients and in order to distribute games to other kinds of stores they had to make a deal with Portidata which became their exclusive distributor... when Rui Tito sold Portidata to Ecofilmes they inherited all of Portidata's inventory ... that's why you see PC games with the Portidata label printed on them but with the usual Ecofilmes' stickers and that's all what we know for now... we need more Mega Force (Portugal) scans... Virtua Racing was promoted in a cool way during Summer 1994... Ecofilmes toured by some portuguese beaches with a shuttle where people could participate in a contest and try Virtua Racing at no charge... but we need the rest of the Mega Force magazines for details... just ignore that article... it tells nothing ;) ...--Asagoth (talk) 11:55, 30 April 2021 (EDT)
Thanks for the explanation.-Lukdriver14 (talk) 11:17, 1 May 2021 (EDT)
