The GG Shinobi (Ｔｈｅ ＧＧ忍), also referred to simply as Shinobi on western game covers, is an entry to the Shinobi series. Released exclusively on the Sega Game Gear in 1991, it sees the player rescue different coloured Shinobi characters, each completely playable with their own special skills.
The GG Shinobi was followed by Shinobi II: The Silent Fury (The GG Shinobi II in Japan), another exclusive Game Gear game.
