Tsuyoshi Furuta (古田 剛志) is a Japanese screenwriter and storyboard creator best-known for his work on the Yakuza franchise. He worked as a freelance writer on 3-Nen B-Gumi Kinpachi Sensei: Densetsu no Kyoudan ni Tate!, the original Yakuza before joining Chunsoft in 2005. There, his notable works were Imabikisou and 428: Fuusa Sareta Shibuya de[1]. He returned to work on the Yakuza series regularly beginning with Yakuza: Dead Souls.
