Amstrad CPC games

From Sega Retro

Quartet suffered greatly when it was brought to the Amstrad CPC. It looks worse than its ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64 rivals.

The Amstrad CPC was another computer which had seen its install base grow quite rapidly during the mid-1980s. It set out to beat Sinclair's ZX Spectrum and the Commodore 64, but as it didn't manage to escape the western Europe in large quantities, failed to surpass its rivals. Nevertheless companies such as U.S. Gold and Activision supported the system right up until the early 1990s.

There are 28 officially branded Sega games for the system. Mega Drive ports such as Space Harrier II and World Championship Soccer were not released for the platform like they were for competing computers, assumedly because the CPC was less successful. As the CPC lies between the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64, power wise, it means that many of the Sega System 16 ports brought to the system suffer significantly.
