MP3 DC is a boot CD for the Sega Dreamcast by Pelican Accessories which allows the console to play MP3 files from CD-ROMs and CD-Rs.
While playlists can be created, they cannot be saved. A few select MP3s cannot be handled by the software, which was common with stereo systems that could play MP3 CDs at the time. The software also reads the ID3 tag so it will display artist and track info. Tracks cannot be played in random order, making the use of a playlist a necessity.
Since this boot disc is an unlicensed accessory, it's pressed on a CD-ROM instead of a GD-ROM. Therefore, it cannot be booted on later Dreamcasts, since they removed the ability to boot anything other than GD-ROM discs.
