    Evolution: The World of Sacred Device, known in Japan as Shinkisekai Evolution (神機世界 エヴォリューション), is a Sega Dreamcast role-playing game developed by Sting. First published in Japan by Entertainment Software Publishing in January 1999[16], it was later brought to the United States courtesy of Ubisoft the following December.[6] In June of 2000, Ubisoft published the game in Europe[9], and one month later it also arrived in Australia.

    In December 1999[17], the game received a sequel on the same system titled Evolution 2: Far Off Promise.
