Microcosm (マイクロコズム) is an on-the-rails shoot-'em-up game developed for the Sega Mega-CD by Psygnosis. It uses full motion video and takes place within the human body. Other version were released on platforms such as 3DO, Amiga CD 32 and FM Towns, some of these featured a first person view while the Sega Mega-CD features a 3rd person view.

The game uses simple 16 color video, compared to more advanced video techniques employed by games such as the Sega Mega-CD version of Eternal Champions

The player controlls a small ship that has mutliple weapons and an infinite standard shot. Multiple hits can be taken before the ship explodes. The game is quite long considering the genre and features a continue feature (password).
