Kouichi Nomura (野村 光一) is a programmer at Sega of Japan. After joining Sega in 1994, he worked on the Daisenryaku franchise for the Sega Saturn, followed by Skies of Arcadia. At Overworks he became both the main programmer and director of Shinobi. In 2004 he and Kenji Furukawa programmed the image display method for an unknown first-person shooter[2]. He programmed many games in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise starting with Sonic Unleashed and worked on several Puyo Puyo games while at Sega Games CS Studio 2.
