Saori Yoshida (吉田 沙織) is a composer, sound designer and musician at Sega of Japan, known for working with Ryu ga Gotoku Studio projects.

Career

When Saori Yoshida began working, Sega was not accepting new recruits for sound production[2], so she worked part-time in Yakuza: Dead Souls. She made her official Sega with Binary Domain and became a more prominent composer on Yakuza games like Ryu ga Gotoku: Ishin! and Yakuza 0. She made her debut as music director with D×2: Shin Megami Tensei Liberation.

Around 2018/2019, Yoshida gave birth to her first child, becoming the second member of the Yakuza sound team to take maternity leave, after Chihiro Aoki[2]. Most likely as a result, did not contribute to the then in-development Yakuza: Like a Dragon (although her song "Theory of Beauty" from Yakuza 6: The Song of Life was reused). Yoshida gave birth again 4 years later, and as she also had to raise her children, began working from home on shorter hours, ending work at 4 PM, roughly 3 hours earlier than most of her co-workers([2].
