GG Aleste (GGアレスタ) is a game in Compile's Aleste series of shoot-'em-ups for the Sega Game Gear. It was only released in Japan and is one of the few Compile Game Gear games published by Compile rather than Sega. GG Aleste II is a sequel to this game.

Story
A giant army calling itself Moon Child has conquered the Earth. The teenaged pilot Ellinor Waizen is one of the only people left to challenge them. She pilots the Galvanic Gunner, or the GG Aleste, a special fighter created for her. In this continuity, she is the daughter of Raymond Waizen, the protaganist of the MSX version of the original Aleste.
Gameplay
The game is a vertically scrolling shooter. The player controls Ellinor piloting the GG Aleste, which is moved in any direction with the D-Pad. The player is given a point bonus at the end of the bonus area depending on how many targets were destroyed; the player is rewarded with 200,000 bonus points for successfully destroying all enemies.
