After Burner (アフターバーナー) is a version of After Burner geared around Takara's Video Challenger toy.
It is a VHS cassette that plays through an adjusted version of the arcade game. The camera takes a first person perspective and targets appear on the screen that need to be shot at with the Video Challenger. The device would register hits, and at the end of the video, a scoreboard appears for users to compare against.
After Burner was the only Sega video game to be adapted for the Video Challenger, however at least two other arcade games were brought to the format; Road Blaster and Thunder Storm.
