Ferrari Grand Prix Challenge, known as Nakajima Satoru Kanshuu F1 Hero MD (中島悟監修 F1 HERO MD) in Japan, is a 1992 racing game by Aisystem Tokyo for the Sega Mega Drive and the second Mega Drive game in the Satoru Nakajima series, following F1 Grand Prix and preceding F1 Super License. This one was first published in Japan by Varie, then released overseas by Flying Edge.

Gameplay

The game is a typical 3D racing game with various team, racer, car setup, and race options for a Grand Prix, practice race, and Time Attack modes. A accelerates; B brakes. Races are always presented in horizontal split screen; in one-player mode, the HUD takes up the top half of the screen.

Teams

Ferrari Grand Prix Challenge lacks an official FIA license so uses fictional teams, save for Ferrari (in the Western versions). They are, however, blatently based on real teams of from the 1991 World Championship (moreso in Japan, where in some cases only single letters were changed).
