Masaaki Somaki (杣木 昌明) is a former designer and assistant director at Sega. After graduating high school, he worked part-time at an arcade in Shinjuku, was involved in the development of Royal Stone: Hirakareshi Toki no Tobira, joined AM2 as a designer, and later became an assistant director under Hitmaker. He seems to currently work at Pyramid Inc..
