The Pirates of Dark Water is a side-scrolling action game for the Sega Mega Drive based on the 1991 cartoon series, The Pirates of Dark Water.
While released in the same rough period as a Super NES Pirates of Dark Water game, this Mega Drive version is unique to Sega's system. The SNES version, in comparison, is a arcade-style beat-'em-up game similar to Final Fight or Golden Axe.
