Sohey Yamamoto (山本 宗平) joined Sega in 1989 as a programmer, though intended to join as an arcade cabinet engineer. Notable works included VR-1, the Sega Rally series and the StarHorse series. In the 2010's he became more involved with game servers, web clients and tournament commentary.[1]
