Ellinor

A giant army calling itself Moon Child has conquered the Earth. The teenaged pilot Ellinor Waizen is one of the only people left to challenge them. She pilots the Galvanic Gunner, or the GG Aleste, a special fighter created for her. It can also be augmented by a special weapon by collecting special weapon power-ups. Special weapons are automatically fired simultaneously with the main weapon. The special weapons can be upgraded, up to four levels, by collecting their own special Power Chips.

The GG Aleste is destroyed if it takes damage from an enemy, costing the player a life. When the GG Aleste is destroyed, it explodes and destroys all enemies on screen (or damages bosses). The ship respawns after a moment, and the player's weapons are downgraded a level after losing a life. The game ends if the player runs out of lives, but the player has unlimited continues. The player gains extra lives at certain point thresholds. There is a higher difficulty mode called Special.
