CyberBall, known in Japan as CyberBall: Foot Ball in the 21st Century (サイバーボール), is a Sega Mega Drive football game developed and published by Sega. A port of the titular 1989 Atari Games arcade game Cyberball, the game was first released in the United States in July 1990, and would later be released in Japan, Europe, Australia, and Brazil. The Japanese version supports the Mega Modem for online play.

History
In Japan, CyberBall supports the Mega Modem for online play; Sega had also planned to bring this functionality to the United States via the unreleased Sega TeleGenesis Modem, with CyberBall being one of the first games to support it.[7] Later it was announced that a special TeleGenesis Modem version of the game would be released separately.[8]
While the accessory was never released, its code remains in all versions of CyberBall, and was even translated into English. The game checks the region of the Sega Mega Drive it's being played on, and if it detects a Japanese system, unlocks a Modem option on the main menu.[9]
