The VHS cassette of What's Shenmue (What's シェンムー) (not to be confused with a Sega Dreamcast demo disc of the same name) is a video released in Japan to introduce and promote the Sega Dreamcast game, Shenmue. It is thought to have been given away to the first 100,000 customers who either purchased a console (or games?) after the console's price drop to ¥19,90019,900.
What's Shenmue primarily consists of gameplay footage and cutscenes recorded from a prototype version of the game. There are a number of differences to the final product, including assets which would not be seen until Shenmue II, though the core of what is seen very similar to the final game.
