The Tokyo Game Show 2001 Autumn (東京ゲームショウ2001秋) (TGS 2001 Autumn).
This was Sega's first full appearance at a Tokyo Game Show for two years, and were considered by much of the gaming press to be the stars of the show due in part to their showcase of cross-platform titles. It was first major event that the company attended after winding up development on the Sega Dreamcast.
Bill Gates of Microsoft even turned up on the final day to pay a visit to the Sega stand.
This was the last year TGS was held bi-annually.
