Mega was a monthly video game magazine sold in the United Kingdom. It was pitched by Future Publishing as a dedicated Sega Mega Drive (and Sega Mega-CD) magazine and entered circulation in the Autumn of 1992.

Mega was initially sold alongside its older sibling, Sega Power (which also covered the Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear), multi-format magazine GamesMaster and from 1993 the more industry-focused Edge as part of Future's lineup of games magazines. It competed directly with EMAP's MegaTech, Maverick Magazines' Sega Mega Drive Advanced Gaming, Paragon Publishing's Mega Power and Impact Magazines' Sega Force Mega between 1992 and 1994, at one point outselling all of them.

Future sold the license to Maverick Magazines in the autumn of 1994, who promptly replaced the entire editorial team. It was during this period where Mega moved from covering the full spectrum of Mega Drive games to only those deemed popular, dedicating more of its pages to news and previews^[4].

Having also purchased MegaTech in 1994, Maverick were maintaining three dedicated Mega Drive, Mega-CD and at this point Sega 32X magazines simultaneously, all of which would close in 1995 with the arrival of the Sega Saturn.
