It was ported to the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Mega-CD in 1994, although the Mega Drive version was not released in Japan. It is similar to its predecessor, but it now takes place in the Old West rather than in urban America.

Lethal Enforcers II can be played with either a standard controller or with Konami's Justifier lightgun. However, unlike the original, no Justifiers were packaged alongside Lethal Enforcers II (except in Japan). As the (first player) gun was not sold separately, this means that in 1994 users were expected to own the original Lethal Enforcers in order to play its sequel as originally intended. Like the original, Lethal Enforcers II is not compatible with peripherals such as the Sega Menacer.

The story, gameplay, and controls are identical to those of Lethal Enforcers (though this time the story takes place in the Old West rather than in urban America).

Gameplay
 +
The game is a light gun shooter like its predecessor. It is played from a first-person perspective and the camera automatically moves through each stage on a set path. Stages consist of multiple scenes in which outlaws appear and fire on the player if not dispatched quickly. Most enemies are killed in one shot. Each stage ends with a boss encounter. Using a standard control pad, the D-Pad moves the crosshair around the screen and A fires. The player's revolver holds six rounds and can be reloaded with C. Using the Justifier, pulling the trigger while pointed toward the screen shoots and pulling the trigger when aimed away from the screen reloads.
 +

 +
Some stages contain other weapons, including rifles, shotguns, and even a cannon. These can be picked up by shooting them when they appear and last until the player takes damage. These weapons are fired and reloaded the same way as the standard revolver, except the Gatling gun and cannon cannot be reloaded.
 +

 +
The player starts with three to five points of health (depending on the difficulty level) and loses one when hit by enemy fire. Players also lose a point of health if they shoot civilians or fellow lawmen. If the player runs out of health, the game ends but can be continued as long as credits remain. The game supports two-player simultaneous play.

Ranks
 +
At the end of each stage, players are shown how many rounds they fired and how many hit. They are then rated on their accuracy and given a rank.
 +

 +
In contrast to the previous game, ranks are not cumulative, and it is not required to meet a certain rank in order to advance to the next stage.

Lethal Enforcers II: Gun Fighters, called Lethal Enforcers II: The Western (リーサルエンフォーサーズII ザ・ウエスタン) in Japan, is a 1994 arcade game by Konami and the sequel to their 1992 game Lethal Enforcers. It was ported to the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Mega-CD in 1994, although the Mega Drive version was not released in Japan. It is similar to its predecessor, but it now takes place in the Old West rather than in urban America.

Lethal Enforcers II can be played with either a standard controller or with Konami's Justifier light gun. Like the original, the game is not compatible with the Menacer. Unlike the original, no Justifiers were packaged alongside Lethal Enforcers II (except in Japan). As the first-player gun was not sold separately, players were expected to own the original Lethal Enforcers to play the sequel as intended.

Gameplay

Some stages contain other weapons, including rifles, shotguns, and even a cannon. These can be picked up by shooting them when they appear and last until the player takes damage. These weapons are fired and reloaded the same way as the standard revolver, except the Gatling gun and cannon cannot be reloaded.

Weapons

Weapons are sometimes hidden behind objects or dropped by enemies. Shoot their icons to pick up. Special weapons are lost when the player takes a hit.

The Hide-Out

Ranks

At the end of each stage, players are shown how many rounds they fired and how many hit. They are then rated on their accuracy and given a rank.

In contrast to the previous game, ranks are not cumulative, and it is not required to meet a certain rank in order to advance to the next stage.

Accuracy Rank
0-59% Posse
60-69% Deputy
70-79% Sheriff
80-89% Deputy Marshal
90-100% US Marshal
