The Sega Ages series for the Nintendo Switch is a set of old Sega games enhanced for Switch hardware. The releases are handled by M2, with lead producer Rieko Kodama. The series was first announced in August 2018 with ten titles announced for the series[1], and many more titles were gradually announced over time. Sega has since stated that games from the Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast would be made available later on.[2]
Common features added to these re-releases include Challenge Modes which challenge the player to complete objectives under certain conditions, the ability to save and load game progress, the ability to save replays of the player's sessions in the main game or challenges, various game and display settings, and online leaderboards for players to upload their scores.
