Sega Vintage Collection: Alex Kidd & Co., known in Japan as Sega Classics Collection (セガクラシックコレクション), is a compilation consisting of three games for Xbox Live Arcade. It was released as part of the Sega Vintage Collection and Sega Ages Online series.

These games were released separately on the PlayStation Network service on the PlayStation 3 at about the same time.

Games included

• Alex Kidd in Miracle World (Sega Master System)
• The Revenge of Shinobi (Sega Mega Drive)
• Super Hang-On (Sega Hang-On hardware)

Gameplay

All of the games in the collection have a variety of additional features, such as the ability to save and load savestates, settings to change the display and use decorative wallpapers to fill the screen borders, and being able to save replays of the player's sessions to be played back later. The collection also include multiple regional versions of each game, and the player can freely choose which version they would like to play in the settings.

Also included is a Jukebox, which allows the player to listen to the music in each of the games. Songs are sorted by game and can be played continuously or shuffled. The player can also add songs to a custom playlist, and up to 100 songs can be added to the playlist at a time.

This compilation uses the 2009 version of The Revenge of Shinobi that was previously released on the Wii Virtual Console. Stereoscopic 3D support was also added to Super Hang-On, allowing the game to be played with 3D visuals on supported televisions.

Trials

Each of the Sega Vintage Collection/Sega Ages Online collections include "Trials", which challenge the player to complete specific objectives with special rules and aim for the best time or score they can. Completed runs can be uploaded to online leaderboards, and replays of the best runs can be downloaded and played back. The player cannot pause the game during a trial, and must stop the trial in order to access the Pause Menu.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World

	Wealth Challenge
	Target record: 8,000 Baum Time limit: 240 minutes
	"Money trial! Grab money and clear all stages! If you die, you'll lose some cash!" The objective of this trial is to play through the whole game and collect as much money as possible. The player starts with $5000 and has infinite lives for this trial, however dying will incur a $50 penalty.
	Janken Challenge
	Target record: 7 minutes Time limit: 60 minutes
	"Time trial! Defeat Janken the Great! Infinite lives!" The objective of this trial is to get through Janken Castle and defeat Janken as quickly as possible. The player has infinite lives for this trial, and there are no additional penalties for dying.
	Copter Challenge
	Target record: 40 seconds Time limit: 30 minutes
	"Time trial! Clear the stage on the Copter! One mistake and you're done for!" The objective of this trial is to get through the Kingdom of Nibana in the Petitcopter as quickly as possible. If the player crashes the Peticopter and dies, they will fail the trial.

The Revenge of Shinobi

	One-Man Mission
	Target record: 100,000 points Time limit: 240 minutes
	"No extra lives! Earn highest score! Fight for your life!" The objective of this trial is to play through the whole game and get as high a score as possible with only one life, with the trial ending once the player dies.
	Save your Shuriken
	Target record: 300 Time limit: 240 minutes
	"Make it through this special route! Win by being thrifty with your Shuriken! When you die, the number used increases!" The objective of this trial is to reach the goal while using as few shurikens as possible. The player has infinite lives and shurikens for this trial, however dying will incur a penalty of 8 shurikens.
	Masked Ninja
	Target record: 20 minutes Time limit: 120 minutes
	"Beat the Masked Ninja! Finish him as quickly as possible! Infinite life!" The objective of this trial is to get through the second part of the Neo Zeed Marine Stronghold and defeat Zeed as quickly as possible. The player has infinite lives for this trial, and there are no additional penalties for dying.

Super Hang-On

	Beginner Course Challenge
	Stages: 6
	"Beginner course time trial! Now accepting entries!" The objective of this trial is to complete the Beginner course (Africa) as quickly as possible. The trial will be failed if the player runs out of time, however checkpoints will award greater time bonuses than normal. The mini ride-on version is used for this trial.
	Junior Course Challenge
	Stages: 10
	"Junior course time trial! Now accepting entries!" The objective of this trial is to complete the Junior course (Asia) as quickly as possible. The trial will be failed if the player runs out of time, however checkpoints will award greater time bonuses than normal. The mini ride-on version is used for this trial.
	Senior Course Challenge
	Stages: 14
	"Senior course time trial! Now accepting entries!" The objective of this trial is to complete the Senior course (America) as quickly as possible. The trial will be failed if the player runs out of time, however checkpoints will award greater time bonuses than normal. The mini ride-on version is used for this trial.
	Expert Course Challenge
	Stages: 18
	"Expert course time trial! Now accepting entries!" The objective of this trial is to complete the Expert course (Europe) as quickly as possible. The trial will be failed if the player runs out of time, however checkpoints will award greater time bonuses than normal. The mini ride-on version is used for this trial.
	World Course Challenge
	Stages: 48
	"Beginner course time trial! Now accepting entries!" The objective of this trial is to complete all four of the courses back-to-back as quickly as possible. The trial will be failed if the player runs out of time, however checkpoints will award greater time bonuses than normal. The upright version is used for this trial. The course that was made for this trial was later included as an unlockable extra in 3D Super Hang-On.
