Zoom! (ズーム) is a Sega Mega Drive action puzzle game developed by Sigma Pro-Tech and published by Sega. A port of the titular 1988 Frank Neuhaus Amiga game Zoom!, it was first released in Japan, the United States, and Europe in January 1991, and was later brought to Brazil by Tec Toy some time later.

Gameplay

The game is divided into several stages of several levels each. The goal of each level is to surround each tile with lines so the tiles all flash. You are situated on the gridlines between each tile; moving around them draws a line around them. A and C jump. B kicks back, knocking enemies away. One hit by an enemy takes away a life. Items appear at various intervals, such as fruit (for points), sunflowers (temporary invincibility; collecting one while invincible has no effect), and feathers (prematurely complete the level. There is a time limit to complete each level, however running out of time seems to have no effect on gameplay.

Development

Originally a 1988 Amiga game developed by German programmer Frank Neuhaus[2] and published by Discovery Software International[2] , Zoom! was ported to the Sega Mega Drive by Sigma Pro-Tech (subcontracted by Cyclone System[1]) in late 1989, and published by Sega the following January.
