Plot
The plotline does not tie into nor heavily relate to the video games. It focus on Akira Yuki as he is on a journey because he is unable to see the "Big Dipper" constellation in the sky, which means he has not found "true strength". On his journey he enters Chinatown and encounters Pai Chan, who is on the run from the Koenkan, to escape an unwanted arranged marriage. Hearing the pleas of the Chinatown residents, he protects Pai from her pursuers. As each episode progresses, Akira and Pai encounter more and more of the cast of Virtua Fighter 2, and have to rescue a brainwashed Sarah Bryant and defeat the fighting android Dural.
Availability
In the USA, episodes 1-24 were released bilinugally on DVD by Media Blasters.
In Japan, episodes 1-35 are available for streaming rental; Virtua Fighter Anime on Moviesquare.jp
