Sega Publishing Korea, Ltd. (세가퍼블리싱코리아) is the South Korean arm of Sega, based out of Seoul. The division was founded in 2008 as a replacement for Sega Korea, which was dissolved some weeks earlier. The company is responsible for localizing and publishing Sega video games, including console systems, mobile phones, and PC, for the country. Additionally, they have introduced the Mushiking and Love & Berry card game franchises to Korea.
In 2005, two SegaWorld locations were opened in the country: one in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do in August and one in Jukjeon, Suji-gu, Yongin in September. The Suwon location closed in October 2006 and the Yongin location closed in May 2007. In June 2007, the company opened two Fun It locations in Incheon City and Seoul simultaneously. These two locations remain open to this day. Additionally, SPK owns 6 movie theatres in the country.
