This teeny-tiny article needs some work. You can help us by expanding it.

Rome: Total War - Barbarian Invasion is the first expansion pack to Rome: Total War, and was originally released in 2005 for Windows PCs.

Barbarian Invasion was the first Total War release to be published exclusively by Sega, following its purchase of The Creative Assembly in 2005. Older Total War games, including the non-expanded Rome: Total War were originally overseen and published by Activision, before Sega took over publishing duties.

A version for the iPad, developed by Feral Interactive, was released in 2017.

Gameplay

Barbarian Invasion takes place during the decline of the Roman Empire in 4th and 5th century AD.
