Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike (ストリートファイターIII サードストライク) is the third and final update to Street Fighter III and was originally released in arcades before being brought to the Sega Dreamcast. Dreamcast users can play the previous two versions of Street Fighter III with Street Fighter III: Double Impact.

Third Strike was a major revision of Street Fighter III' and the last release in the series'. All characters got new moves and the behaviour of exisitng moves was modified (reach, strength, speed etc.). Throws, Overhead Attacks and Personal Actions (Taunts) are now activated by pressing two buttons simultaneously. The series unique parry manouver can now also be performed while guarding, which results in a red flashing effect. The resulting manouver is called a red parry.

  • Remy

For the home release, the game got a remixed soundtrack and the final boss Gill was made playable, although he needs to be unlocked first.
