Hiroshi Kataoka is the President of AM2 as well as the entire AM R&D department.
Joining Sega in the mid '90s, Kataoka's has directed titles such as the Fighting Vipers series, Sonic the Fighters, Fighters Megamix and Outtrigger. Along with Makoto Osaki his role shifted to that of a supervisor starting with Shenmue and would act as a coordinator for Eighteen Wheeler: American Pro Trucker and Virtua Fighter 4 and Producer for later installments in the Virtua Fighter series.
Kataoka's contributions to the Virtua Fighter series include the installation of a nationwide, networked arcade infrastructure for Virtua Fighter 4 and an overhauled VF TV system for Virtua Fighter 5 that brings the most out of the aforementioned infrastructure. Other work includes being a motion actor for the Jet Set Radio series.
