Hideaki Sekiya (関谷 英明) is retired[2] senior programmer[1] at Sega of Japan. He has experience developing arcade games, console games and smartphone games[3].

He joined in 1997 and was assigned to the AM1 department[4], where he mostly worked on sports games such as Sega Water Ski and the Dynamite Baseball series, eventually doing The House of the Dead III[5]. After moving to home console development at Sega Sports Design R&D Dept., his most notable work was Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games[5]. After working on Rise of Nightmares, he and other developers from Sega CS3 began developing mobile games at Sega Networks.

Since 2019 he has worked for Unity Technologies Japan[1].
