Sonic Team USA is a division of Sega of America[1] likely formed in 2023 at the same time Sonic series producer Takashi Iizuka was promoted to executive officer[2]. It is a rebranding of the previous Sonic Studio, though a separate Sonic Production still exists with many of the same members. Sonic Team USA is a small division consisting of about 40 members and is located in Burbank (near Hollywood), separate from the head SOA office in Irvine[1]. Rather than develop games, its purpose is to oversee the Sonic series across games, films, comics, animated series and merchandise[1]. The first game to credit the group was Sonic Superstars[3]
