Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes (マーヴル vs. カプコン クラッシュ オブ スーパーヒーローズ) is a 2D fighting game developed and published by Capcom. It is the third fighting crossover in the "vs." series, following X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. As the name suggests, Marvel vs. Capcom pulls Capcom characters from other non-Street Fighter franchises, and has them do battle with characters seen in Marvel Super Heroes.
This game was released for the Sega Dreamcast in 1999 and was followed by Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. It was originally set to be a launch title in North America[4] but saw a last minute delay.
