The Atari Lynx is a handheld game console released by Atari Corporation in 1990. It was the first handheld console with a color LCD screen, predating the Game Gear and the TurboExpress against which it competed. The Lynx was not as successful as the Game Gear, and both were dwarfed in sales and software support by the Game Boy. It was discontinued in 1995.
