The Tokyo Game Show 1996 (東京ゲームショウ1996) (TGS 1996) was the first Tokyo Game Show event to take place. It was held in the Tokyo "Bigsight" International Exhibition Center on 22-24 August, with an entrance fee of ¥1,000.
