Taku Makino (牧野 卓) was responsible for the first physical model of Sonic the Hedgehog[1], used as a reference for animating the character in the Mega Drive game of the same name and the title screen of Sonic the Hedgehog CD[2].

He was the lead graphic designer for Golden Axe: The Duel[3], but for unknown reasons is credited as S.Makino.
