Joe Montana Football (ジョー・モンタナ フットボール) is an American football game for the Sega Mega Drive. It was released around the same time of the Sega Master System Joe Montana Football (later brought to the Sega Game Gear), but is in fact an entirely different game, played vertically rather than horizontally.
It was followed by Joe Montana II: Sports Talk Football, and its subsequent Sega Classic release following this sequel calls the game Joe Montana I Football.
